Experimental Study on Fire Spread Through a Staircase During an Initial Fire Incident

چکیده
This study analyzed the spread of heat and smoke through a staircase during an initial fire incident, which is start evacuation. Real-scale experiments were conducted in mock-up, consisting corridor with dimensions 2.4(W) × 2.4(H) 10(L) m, three-story height 6 m at intervals 2.1 room 3.6(Depth) m. The involved chairs (#1) heptane pools (#2) as combustion sources. maximum temperature reached was 47.9 ℃ within 3 min 10 s, while 20.1% 28 s after (#1). highest by combusting 35.2 55 whereas 4.2% 2 45 s.

An Automatic Detection of the Fire Smoke Through Multispectral Images
One of the consequences of a fire is smoke. Occasionally, monitoring and detection of this smoke can be a solution to prevent occurrence or spreading a fire. On the other hand, due to the destructive effects of the smoke spreading on human health, measures can be taken to improve the level of health services by zoning and monitoring its expansion process. In this paper, an automated method is p...
متن کاملWRF-Fire Simulation of Lateral Fire Spread in the Bendora Fire on 18 January 2003
On the afternoon of 18 January 2003, a number of separate fires located to the west of Canberra, Australia, began major runs under extreme fire weather conditions, and impacted upon the city. These events were well documented by a range of instruments, including a multispectral line-scanning instrument attached to an aircraft. Analysis of the data collected revealed that a number of the fires h...
متن کاملInfluence of Slope on Fire Spread Rate
75 Abstract—Data demonstrate the effect of slope on heading and backing fires burning through woody fuels. The data indicate that the upper limit of heading fire rate of spread is defined by the rate of spread up a vertical fuel array, and the lower limit is defined by the rate of spread of a backing fire burning downslope. The minimum spread rate is found to occur at nominally –16 degrees slope.

fire behavior of different types of eps was evaluated with the use of iso 5660 cone calorimeter test method. considering the complexity of behavior of eps against high temperatures, several specimens were tested, so a betterjudgment on fire behavior of this material could be acquired. the effects of foam density, thickness of specimens and the level of heat flux on fire behavior of foam were ex...
متن کاملA convection model for fire spread simulation
We present a convection model which can be coupled with fire propagation models in order to take into account the wind and the slope which are two of the most relevant factors affecting surface fire spread. An asymptotic analysis gives a three dimensional convective model governed by a two–dimensional equation.
